Maximinus I, 235-238. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 2.70 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation, irregular mint. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximinus I to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M TR P XII COS III P P Sol advancing left, raising his right hand in salute and holding whip in his left. An interesting contemporary imitation. Somewhat porous, otherwise, very fine.

This imitation mixes up an obverse of Maximinus I with a reverse of Severus Alexander (RIC 120)
